1. GAF® TruSlate® Slate Roof
The GAF® TruSlate® product is a real slate that incorporates a layer of UnderBlock™ UV & Moisture Barrier under the slate to reduce the overlap distance needed for slate, thus reducing costs, weight, and amount of material needed. If you’re looking for a real slate roof, this is the product to get! Such a product obviously carries a lifetime warranty, and Caldwell’s Roofing is factory-certified in a number of areas with roofing manufacturer GAF®. They have also passed an extensive test on installing the TruSlate® product. Click here for more.
2. DaVinci Slate Roof (Imitation Slate)
If you don’t have quite the budget for a real slate roof, you might want to seriously consider DaVinci. It looks deceptively close to a slate roof, has a 110-mph wind rating, a 50-year limited warranty, and a Class A fire rating. The tiles are made with polymer chemistry, and have been designed to withstand freezing and thawing, as well as whatever else nature might throw at your roof. DaVinci offers 23 earth tones for their product. Click here for more.
